Llyn Adventures is registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing Service (AALS) and aims to provide fun, adventurous activities on the Llyn Peninsula and around Snowdonia.
Llyn Adventures is managed by Chris Thorne who is a qualified Mountaineering Instructor. The majority of activities will be conducted by Chris who comes from a rock climbing and mountaineering background that was gained while serving with the RAF.
Simon Edwards is qualified in Mountaineering, Paddling and Rock Climbing. He has a diverse and varied background that includes 15 years Army service and working with homeless people.
Outdoor work has taken him to many different locations around the world including South America, Africa, India and Indonesia. These travels have allowed him to experience different cultures and challenges first hand often while in charge of clients.
On UK soil Simon has worked from Brighton to the Highlands of Scotland. Now living in North Wales he enjoys all that Snowdonia and Anglesey has to offer but still manages to find time to escape to more exotic locations.
Andy Woolston is a qualified Mountaineering Instructor and Winter Mountain Leader. He is a keen climber in both summer and winter having taken part in many expeditions from the Alps to Canada. He is a full time member of the RAF Valley Mountain Rescue Team where he instructs team members between call outs and routine training.
When not climbing or training Andy enjoys Curling, a sport which he has represented England for in inter national competitions.
Tim Hunter is qualified in Mountaineering, Paddling and Rock Climbing. He has worked in the outdoors all his life from locations around England and Wales with overseas experience of the United Arab Emirates and South Africa.
When he is not working you'll probably find him clinging to a boulder somewhere in North Wales or riding a wave on his surf board.
Venues
The majority of our activities happen on the Llyn Peninsula, Snowdonia and occasionally on Anglesey. We have provided activities in South Wales, The Forest of Dean and the Scottish Highlands and are happy to discuss bringing our activities to you. Please get in touch for further details.
