Introduction to Scrambling

If you enjoy summer mountain walking and fancy something a little more challenging this course is for you. During the course you will be negotiating simple rocky mountain routes which involve short sections of rock where it is necessary to use your hands as well as feet. The course is based in Snowdonia and could include classic scrambles like Tryfan North ridge and the Snowdon horseshoe.

During the course you will be looked after by a qualified mountaineering instructor who will guide you along and make sure everything runs smoothly. You will have opportunities to learn new techniques and skills which can be transferred to other mountainous areas. By the end of the course you should have a better understanding of mountain scrambling and a desire to progress to the next level.

No previous scrambling experience is necessary but having some summer mountain walking or rock climbing experience will be useful. The course is open to anyone aged 16 yrs and over. Being in good physical shape will allow you to maximise your time on the course.

Instructors are hired on a daily basis allowing you to choose the length of course you require. The minimum course duration consists of 1 day and costs £175 at a ratio of 1 instructor to 6 clients.
